“If you continue in my Word, then are you my disciples indeed!”

Welcome to Bethany

In the name of our Lord Jesus, we welcome you to the house of God.  We pray that within our church you will find the quiet assurance of God's presence, the warmth of Christian fellowship, and the abiding truth of God's Word.  If you have no church home and would like to know more about Bethany, feel free to contact the pastors.  Come worship with us again!

Friendship Registers

During the offering collection everyone is encouraged to sign the

friendship registers.  They are found at the end of each pew, & are designed to be passed to the other end and back during that time.

The Congregational Offering

The offering is a means by which the members of Bethany not only support the work of the Gospel both here and abroad, but first and foremost is a means by which they can show thanks and praise to God in response to his gracious gifts to them.  For that reason it is collected as part of our public worship.  If you're visiting today, please feel comfortable in refraining from the offering if you like.

For Your Convenience

Restrooms are in the church entryway.  Handicapped accessible restrooms are through the parish hall in the the educational wing.  A “Mother's Room” for parents is located in the church entryway, containing a speaker, rocking chair and changing table.  A staffed nursery is available on Sundays in rm. 13 of the educational wing.

Please Ask an Usher For: Large print bulletins;  hearing devices; other conveniences. Note: we have reserved seating for parents with small children in the back pews.

Today's Theme:    Take up the cross and follow Christ.

We Thank Our Guest Preacher Today, Pastor Matt Brown from Beautiful Savior, Clarksville, Tenn.  Matt is from the Fort area having graduated from St. Paul's School.  He and his family are here as he is attending Summer school at our Seminary.  We thank the Lord for his message today.

Nest Week Pastor Brad Krause will be here as our guest speaker.  He will not only conduct the service but also show a slide presentation on his ministry in Mexico following the service Thurs and after the 2nd service on Sunday.  Brad did evangelism work on a volunteer basis in Mexico the past year, and now has been assigned as permanent missionary in Leon, Mexico, leaving soon.

Our Communion Practice: Our conviction, based on the Bible, is that Communion is an expression of oneness with God and also of oneness with each other.  Oneness of faith this side of heaven can only be determined by each person's outward confession, which is made public by church membership.  Therefore it is proper that those of the same confessional fellowship commune together.  On that basis we cordially welcome our visitors of other synods and  denominations in worship today, and at the same time invite you to speak with our pastors before communing regarding our fellowship and practice.

Worth Quoting:  True freedom is not in having our own way, but         in yielding to God's way.

A Prayer For The 4th Of July! - May freedom be seen, not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to please to do what is right.  May it ever be understood that our liberty is under God and can be found nowhere else.  May our faith be something that is not merely stamped upon our coins, but expressed in our lives...To the extent that America honors Thee, O Lord, wilt Thou bless America, and keep her true as Thou has kept her free – and make her good as Thou has made her rich.  Amen.”  Happy Birthday, USA!! - Peter Marshall
